I'm taking 5HTP, Tyrosine, Ashwaganda, and Omega 3 for a mood booster and I've noticed a subtle but pleasant effect on my mood and overall outlook. I occasionally add L-Theanine and Ginko Biloba
I've been reading about Inositol and Choline and I want to add that in
Am i over doing-it with the supplements? Should i cut some out? Is anything dangerous?

There is such a thing as overdoing it, yes.
These particular supplements are generally safe to take together in appropriate doses. Most of those have benefits on brain health (memory, focus, etc) and/or mood support, although Ashwagandha is more for stress and the immune system.
Anyway, Choline and Inositol help more with brain health, but not as much directly for mood support. If you are looking for more mood support, I would go more for SAM-e, 5-HTP, and Rhodiola Rosea as the major ones. Good luck and I hope I helped!
Forgetting thing easily recently and needed some brain booster. Not sure if I should buy pure Ginkgo Biloba content or a mixture of Ginkgo Biloba with Phosphatidyl and Vitamin content. Anyone tried some good brand and care to share?
For memory loss try eating more foods rich in Vitamin B1 (thiamine) ie ~ brewer's yeast, whole grain breads and cereals, meat (pork or liver), nuts, legumes such as peas, beans and lentils and potatoes.
Also take a multi B complex supplement including all the B's ie ~ B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12 as they work best as a group….. The B complex of vitamins are essential for a healthy digestive, neural and immune system…… Do not purchase any of the B complex of vitamins individually unless under the specific instructions of a nutritionally oriented physician or naturopath.
The need for B1 (and the B complex) increases when we are stressed, during illness and surgery. B1 has beneficial effects on the nervous system and mental attitude and will also aid in digestion and keep nervous system, muscles and heart functioning normally………… The B complex of vitamins will help bolster your system so as you can better deal with the everyday little dramas life presents for us ♥
It is a water soluble complex and as such our bodies can neither produce or store them. Therefore we need to ingest them on a daily basis or suffer the side affects.
When we are placed under added stress the first group of vitamins to be used up will generally be the B complex and as such we need to adjust our intake accordingly…….. When you are stressed and generally frazzled simply take another B complex supplement. As they are a water soluble group any excess you ingest will simply be excreted in your urine.
Also, an L-glutamine supplement taken 3 times daily on an empty stomach will also bolster a healthy immune and nervous system and assist in maintaining muscle function……. It also helps maintain the health of intestinal flora and thus is a digestive aid ♥ Glutamine is a natural amino acid and a naturally occuring antioxidant and does a marvellous job for me at increasing my level of concentration and for bolstering my ability to retain information ♥
Other nutrients which are said to enhance your memory and make you smarter are ~ Fish oils (those found in cold water fishes such as tuna and salmon do a brilliant of levelling out your moods, stress levels and attention to detail) as other posters have already mentioned, Vitamine E (i would suggest eating more foods rich in Vitamin E as opposed to supplementing), grapeseed extract, lipoic acid, Vitamin B3 (niacin), Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), vitamin B12 (cobalamin),folic acid, choline, gingko biloba (i haven't used it myself so unfortunately am unable to recommend a brand for you), gotu kola ………… Obviously none of them will turn you into Albert Einsteen but you'll surely start remembering where you put your keys though buddy ♥
Things that could be robbing you of your precious B complex of vitamins are :- eating too much protein, alcohol, eating too much tinned food, laxatives and diuretics, antiobiotics, antidepressants, penicillin, prednisone and aspirin, otc cold and flu medicines.
Also, try to cut back on drinks such as caffeine, tea, sodas and soft drinks as they are all B complex thieves…….. As well as being great at dehydrating you.
When you take your daily B complex supplement ensure that you take it with some type of calcium rich food ie: low fat cheese or milk or a calcium supplement that contains vitamin D3 as they all work in conjunction with one another.
Quite a handfull of information here …….. Sorry it's a bit long winded but you need to know all this.
Drink loads of fresh filtered water too as the happiest and healthiest body will always be the most hydrated one.

My son is 6 months old and his dr prescribed fluoride supplements to take daily because we have well water. Fluoride is toxic and doesn't leave your body and is bad for brain development. I'm not really for it.. My inlaws gave their girls the supplements as babies and they've had multiple surgeries in their mouth. Does it sound like a good idea giving it to a baby?
Do NOT give a 6 month old baby fluoride supplements. Here is the recent conclusion made by the Harvard School of Public Health:

For years health experts have been unable to agree on whether fluoride in the drinking water may be toxic to the developing human brain. Extremely high levels of fluoride are known to cause neurotoxicity in adults, and negative impacts on memory and learning have been reported in rodent studies, but little is known about the substance’s impact on children’s neurodevelopment. In a meta-analysis, researchers from Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) and China Medical University in Shenyang for the first time combined 27 studies and found strong indications that fluoride may adversely affect cognitive development in children. Based on the findings, the authors say that this risk should not be ignored, and that more research on fluoride’s impact on the developing brain is warranted.
The study was published online in Environmental Health Perspectives on July 20, 2012.
The researchers conducted a systematic review of studies, almost all of which are from China where risks from fluoride are well-established. Fluoride is a naturally occurring substance in groundwater, and exposures to the chemical are increased in some parts of China. Virtually no human studies in this field have been conducted in the U.S., said lead author Anna Choi, research scientist in the Department of Environmental Health at HSPH.
Even though many of the studies on children in China differed in many ways or were incomplete, the authors consider the data compilation and joint analysis an important first step in evaluating the potential risk. “For the first time we have been able to do a comprehensive meta-analysis that has the potential for helping us plan better studies. We want to make sure that cognitive development is considered as a possible target for fluoride toxicity,” Choi said.
Choi and senior author Philippe Grandjean, adjunct professor of environmental health at HSPH, and their colleagues collated the epidemiological studies of children exposed to fluoride from drinking water. The China National Knowledge Infrastructure database also was included to locate studies published in Chinese journals. They then analyzed possible associations with IQ measures in more than 8,000 children of school age; all but one study suggested that high fluoride content in water may negatively affect cognitive development.
The average loss in IQ was reported as a standardized weighted mean difference of 0.45, which would be approximately equivalent to seven IQ points for commonly used IQ scores with a standard deviation of 15.* Some studies suggested that even slightly increased fluoride exposure could be toxic to the brain. Thus, children in high-fluoride areas had significantly lower IQ scores than those who lived in low-fluoride areas. The children studied were up to 14 years of age, but the investigators speculate that any toxic effect on brain development may have happened earlier, and that the brain may not be fully capable of compensating for the toxicity.
“Fluoride seems to fit in with lead, mercury, and other poisons that cause chemical brain drain,” Grandjean says. “The effect of each toxicant may seem small, but the combined damage on a population scale can be serious, especially because the brain power of the next generation is crucial to all of us.”

Fluoride is a neurotoxin. I wouldn't even consume it while pregnant as it is known to cross the blood-brain barrier of your child in the womb. It readily crosses the placenta into your unborn child. It is linked to lower IQ's, ADD, ADHD, among other things. Find another doctor.
